Routavio does not just ask “Which airport can I fly to?” — it asks “What is the smartest way to reach my final destination?”
Most travel search tools are designed around airport-to-airport results. But many real journeys do not end at an airport, and the best route is not always the one that lands closest to the final destination.
For example, reaching Maastricht from Istanbul may be easier or cheaper by flying to Cologne, Düsseldorf, Brussels, Amsterdam, or Eindhoven, and then continuing by train or bus. These options are often split across different platforms, which makes them hard to compare.
Routavio brings these possibilities together. It evaluates nearby arrival points and ground transport connections, then ranks complete door-to-door routes by price, duration, transfer count, and user preference.

About our data
Routavio combines route information from selected travel providers, public transport datasets, and internal route computation models. For the MVP, some prices and schedules may be estimated or simulated. The goal is to demonstrate multimodal route optimization, not to issue tickets directly.
