Price and schedule freshness on Routavio
Routavio does not sell tickets, so a price here is either a live search made when you asked or a fare we saw earlier and stored with its date. This page says which is which, and what to do when a flight changes.
Questions about freshness
Is the price I see live or saved?
Both exist and both are labelled. After you pick dates and press Find flights, we ask the providers at that moment and show what they return. A price on a route page or in the fare calendar is a saved fare with the day it was checked. A fare checked in the last 24 hours is marked live next to the price. One checked 1 to 14 days ago is shown with its day. Anything older is shown only as a fare we saw on that day, never as a current price.
How old can a saved price be?
The headline lowest price on a route page uses fares checked in the last 3 days when there are any, and otherwise fares from the last 14 days. We do not promise one refresh interval for every route. The check day is printed with the fare, so its age is never hidden. In the fare calendar, every fare keeps its check day, including one your browser already had from an earlier visit.
What if my flight is cancelled or delayed?
Routavio does not issue or hold tickets, so we cannot change or refund a booking. Schedule changes, cancellations and delays are handled by the airline and by the seller named on your booking confirmation: contact them first. Our stored prices can lag behind last-minute changes, so confirm the flight and the price on the seller's page before you pay.
Do I have to enter my trip again on the partner site?
Mostly no. The Book link carries your route, outbound and return dates and number of passengers into the seller's search, and your language and currency where the seller supports them. You will still enter passenger names, contact details and payment there, because that is where the ticket is sold.
Why can the seller show a different price?
The seller shows its price at the moment you open it. Fares move, seats sell out, and a fare we stored may be hours or days old. Treat the price on the seller's page as the one that counts.
